Handloom Export Promotion Council organizes seminar/ workshop in order propagate information useful for the manufacture and trade of handloom fabrics. The primary objective is to create awareness among the exporting community on vital areas such as visual merchandising, designing for international markets, marketing prospects for Handlooms in International Trade, Customs procedures, Foreign Trade Policy, Export Procedures, Product innovation etc.
Such workshops/seminars are organized under MDA Scheme of Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India at various Handloom clusters/ export centres to disseminate knowledge on various domains of export trade. Organizing such programmes will facilitate weavers/manufacturers/exporters to be innovative and come up with products based on latest design trends, reorient their strategies for strengthening their presence in existing markets and penetrate into new markets.
